• I learned to gain my happiness reducing my desires.
  • Mere learning is of no avail without actual practice. The learned man who does not practice is like a colorful flower without scent.
  • Do not cultivate any non virtuous action - cultivate only perfect virtuous action. Subdue your own mind: this is the teaching of Lord Buddha.
  • Science without religion is blind. Religion without science is lame.
  • Letting go of desire is gaining the real happiness and satisfaction in our daily life.
  • Why be unhappy about something. If it can be remedied, And what is the use of being unhappy about something, If it cannot be remedied.
  • My religious is Love and Compassion. H.H. 14th DHL
  • I have learned to seek my happiness by limiting my desires, rather than attempting to satisfy them.
  • Mere learning is of no avail without actual practice. The learned man who does not practice, is like a colorful flower without scent.

Prayers for the Victims of Earthquake at Nepal

Kathmandu- May 4 :

On the auspicious occasion of Buddha Jayanti, Buddhist organizations of all schools, including Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana organized a grand prayer in front of the Baudha Stupa for the victims of April 25 earthquake that killed more than seven thousand people and still counting. Keeping in view the fact that the whole country is mourning and so much damage is caused to life, our heritage and villages, we changed the annual Buddha Jayanti celebration to a prayer meeting.

Many monks, Bikshus, nuns and lay people joined the prayer. We pray that the teachings of Buddha, of impermanence and compassion give our nation courage to face this natural calamity and ones again, may we rise up like a phoenix from the ashes so that we can walk on the path shown by Buddha for peace, non violence and prosperity.
