  • Mere learning is of no avail without actual practice. The learned man who does not practice is like a colorful flower without scent.
  • Do not cultivate any non virtuous action - cultivate only perfect virtuous action. Subdue your own mind: this is the teaching of Lord Buddha.

Nepal Buddhist Federation would like to extend a heartfelt gratitude to Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi for his visit and his historic address in the Parliament of our country.

The true understanding of the Government of India to the birth place of Buddha and relevance of his message for peace was clearly reflected in the historic speech.  While thanking the Honorable Prime Minister of India, we believe that this visit has not only opened a new chapter in the Nepal India relation but also opened a new chapter in the understanding of Buddha and his message in our own country.

We have noted with deep interest, the commitment of India to see Nepal have an inclusive Federal democratic constitution which represents and caters to the need of all sections of the people and appealed to the rulers to be broad minded with wisdom “Rishi Maan”.

His  historic address in  our parliament, the people of Nepal in general and Nepali Buddhists in particular, believe has cleared many myths, planted by vested interests for so many years in both our countries,  which created many hurdles in our age old  spiritual relations.

Nepali Buddhists are happy for promotion of the Buddhist circuit linking with India and will cooperate for promotion of peace in our country and the world at large.
